We met them as grade-school drop-outs. Today, they are preparing to graduate High School. These girls have overcome so many challenges to get to where they are. We commend them and we look forward to each of their bright futures. Let’s Go! Class of 2020!
Munni is the daughter of an auto-driver. Her father barely makes enough money to feed Munni and her three siblings. Munni is the oldest and shouldered a lot of the responsibility of the household. While her parents worked, Munni would clean and cook and take care of her younger siblings. She would attend school whenever she could find the time, which was not often.
Munni’s parents were in the process of arranging her marriage. Then OLTL intervened. We were able to counsel her parents about the importance of education for their daughter. We promised to carry the financial burden of sending Munni and her siblings to school.
Today, just a few years later, Munni is getting ready to graduate at the top of her class with 96% GPA!
Your help has given countless girls like Munni a voice – the one thing they need most.
