Hello! My name is Laura and I am a graduate student at Monmouth University, studying clinical mental health counseling. Throughout my journey in this program, I have had multiple opportunities for self-reflection and growth, while also finding meaning in service to others. This semester, I have the opportunity to continue growing and serving others through the Transformational Travel class I will be taking. I will have the privilege to travel to One Life to Love’s Home of Hope in Delhi, India to work with the children in the orphanage. This orphanage is unique in that it is the only orphanage in India that takes in children with physical and mental challenges. These children have been homeless, lost, abandoned, and some have even been victims of human trafficking. The orphanage is dedicated to providing children with a safe and loving home that every child in this world deserves. The organization has also provided resources for the homeless and supports education for young girls. In addition to the trip to India, I will be raising money that will be donated directly to the Home of Hope. Only $180 sends a girl to school for a whole year and every little bit can help to make a difference. Please consider donating to this incredible cause that can change the lives of these beautiful children!
